A family working together.

Hi! We are Ryan & Lena Thiessen. Our farm is located north of Iron River, Alberta. (That is 30 minutes north of Bonnyville, and 50 minutes west of Cold Lake.) Lena is a local farmer’s daughter and Ryan is a BC logger turned Alberta oilfield worker. We farm on the same piece of property that Lena’s Dido (grandfather) homesteaded in 1933. Together we raise our five kiddos and strive to be an example to them of how to live a quiet life and work with your hands ( 1 Thessalonians 4:11) .

We both have horticulture and landscaping in our backgrounds and so we fell into flower farming rather naturally. Lena takes care of the planning, growing and designing aspect, while Ryan handles the equipment end of things. It is a blessing to have our children work alongside of us, and we hope that they are learning valuable skills.

Our desire is to provide our community with beautiful, local, fresh flowers grown as responsibly as possible. We love meeting and interacting with our customers and welcome them as part of our family. We hope you see our passion in every bouquet.

Most of all, we farm to bring glory to our Creator. We recognize that we can plant and water, but He makes things grow (1 Corinthians 3:7). And we live for His glory and praise. We hope you can see that too.
